Additional parameters to calculate schedule cost
In some cases, when you need using a specific vehicle to perform orders, it may be useful to apply Vehicle activation cost to estimate realistically the total schedule cost. This cost factor shows how much does it cost to use a certain vehicle per day. It can be used, for example, if you have a sub-contractor and you pay him not on the time or mileage basis but a fixed cost per day. Vehicle activation cost is an additional value that could be added to the vehicle's total schedule cost per day as a fixed value. Vehicle activation cost can also be used as a fixed basis for a driver's salary per day.
The other cost factor is the Cost per order showing how much does it cost to perform an order by a certain vehicle.
Vehicle activation cost and Cost per order will be considered while building the routes to calculate total schedule cost.
Vehicle activation cost and Cost per order fields are available on the Vehicle form:
Vehicle activation cost and Cost per order can be received using the API methods when getting vehicles or specified by the dispatcher through Maxoptra interface.
Other changes and improvements
We have made some changes to the way we store historic data. Starting from the current release, data on GPS points and certain activity logs displayed on the Track-&-Trace screen, that are more than 4 months old, will no longer be available to Maxoptra users. These are not business-critical pieces of data, so we are hope that the change will have little or no impact on your daily use of our routing and scheduling optimisation system.
